1941-D Mercury Dime NGC MS66FB Gold CAC		SOLD

This 1941-D Mercury Dime has been graded MS66FB by NGC and is encapsulated in an older-style NGC "fatty" holder which is slightly thicker than the current NGC holders. This particular version of the NGC holder with the gold heat stamped NGC logo on the reverse is often called the NGC version 3 holder as it follows the ultra rare NGC black holder and the NGC white holder with the all white label. The coin has also been certified by CAC as being solid for at least the next higher grade by the use of their seldom used gold label CAC sticker. The mostly untoned coin is quite lustrous and has an excellent strike. There is a bit of toning near the rims and on the reverse side. Just a few tiny marks are found on the surfaces of this high end piece, well deserving of the gold CAC sticker. An excellent high-grade Mercury Dime in an older NGC holder and with the difficult to earn gold CAC sticker.
