Here is an 1879-M Australia Gold Sovereign with the St. George style reverse which has been graded AU58 by NGC. This is a beautiful coin with lovely gold color and tons of original luster. The fields of the coin are also proof like which adds to the overall eye appeal. There are plenty of small marks and hits on the coin as can be seen in the photos, but none are major. The coin is 91.7% pure gold and has a total actual gold weight of 0.2354 ounces. This is a very nice almost uncirculated example of the issue which becomes much more rare and much more expensive in uncirculated grades.
