This 2015 Glendale Coin Club Medal was minted by Daniel Carr who was commissioned by the Glendale (CA) Coin Club. The obverse design features the grizzly bear design from the 1925 California Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Half Dollar in actual size, with the name of the coin club surrounding. The reverse design features the famous $5 Pacific Company territorial gold cap, rays and stars design, surrounded by the club name and the 2015 date. The most recent sale of an original $5 Pacific Company gold coin was an AU58 example that sold for over $750,000! Examples of the 2015 Glendale Coin Club Medal were struck in various metal compositions as set forth on the mintage statistics included below. Only 251 copper medals were minted, most of which will be retained by club members, making the piece quite rare. The medal is 39mm in diameter and is struck on a pure copper round with a smooth edge. The medal comes in a high quality plastic capsule to protect the near perfect condition of the piece. A beautifully done medal and an opportunity to own a low mintage copper club medal by Daniel Carr which is not available on the Moonlight Mint website. |
