1903 $2.5 Liberty Quarter Eagle PCGS MS62 |
SOLD |
|
The photos really do not do justice to this interesting gold coin. This 1903 $2.5 Liberty Gold Quarter Eagle has been graded MS62 by PCGS. The coin has really bright lustrous surfaces on both sides. The coin also has a very interesting dirty looking but colorful toning that is very eye appealing in hand, especially as the luster of the coin shines through. In hand, the color of the toning is appears to be a medium orange to pink color that is quite attractive and is not fully captured in the photos. The coin shows some light marks and light scratches, but not nearly as many as you would expect on a typical MS62 graded gold coin and nothing that distracts. Please note that there are some chips in the upper part of the stacking ring on the reverse of the plastic holder that do not affect the integrity of the holder itself. A relatively common date $2.5 Liberty Quarter Eagle with a not so common look. |
