Here is a beautiful 1971 Eisenhower Dollar which has been graded MS66 by PCGS and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. This is an amazing example with spectacular rainbow toning on both sides. Because of the strong mint luster and the reflections of the plastic holder, I found it difficult to capture the color of the coin in my photos. However, PCGS took a photo of the coin before encapsulation for their CoinFacts service which does an excellent job. There are a few light hits on each side which can be found under magnification, but they are hardly noticed as your eye is drawn to the beautiful color of the coin. Currently, there are only seven (7) examples of this date which have been graded higher at PCGS, all of which are MS66+ coins valued at nearly $10,000 each. An impressive eye appealing rainbow toned high-grade first-year Eisenhower Dollar.
Because of the difficulty in capturing the overall look of the coin in a single image, I have also included a short high-definition video of the coin towards the bottom of this listing in an attempt to give you a better idea of what this coin will look like in hand. Please note that you may need to adjust the video quality to 1080p and may need to increase the size of the video to full screen in order to see the coin in maximum detail.
