Mint state Liberty Head Quarter Eagles are not prohibitively rare, especially in the later dates. However, once you start talking about coins at the very top of the grading scale, then even the most common of dates is a condition rarity piece. This 1902 Liberty Head $2.5 Gold Quarter Eagle has been graded MS66 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. The coin is a bright golden lustrous piece with a beautiful overall look. The coin has just a few very light hits and marks scattered about, but nothing too major. Overall, a nice high-grade Liberty Head Gold Quarter Eagle. |
