An 1881 Austria Kreuzer which has been graded MS67BN by PCGS and is encapsulated in a newer-style edge-view holder. If you have been collecting certified coins for awhile, you will know that the MS67BN grade is rarely used, particularly by PCGS. Very few coins that receive the BN color designation lack the hits/marks and retain enough original mint luster to earn such a high numerical grade. MS67RD coins are plentiful, MS67RB coins are rare and MS67BN coins are almost unheard of. In summary, this coin is a blazer and has superb overall eye appeal. The luster is beyond amazing and nearly impossible to capture the look in a single photograph. The color is a deep blue and purple color that looks really nice
as well. The coin has virtually no noticeable hits or marks and is about as perfect as you can get. This coin is by far the highest graded example of the date at PCGS; a single MS65BN, a single MS65RB and a single MS64RD are the next highest graded coins in the PCGS Population Report. |
