1857 Flying Eagle Cent DDO FS-101 PCGS XF45		SOLD

This 1857 Flying Eagle Cent has been graded XF45 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. This coin has relatively strong doubling on the obverse design, particularly noticeable on the eye of the eagle, and is attributed as the FS-101 variety as listed in the Cherrypickers’ Guide. The variety is also attributed as S-4 in Rick Snow’s Flying Eagle and Indian Cent Attribution Guide. The coin is an attractive lightly circulated example of the variety with a nice even color and no significant spotting or other issues. An excellent example of this interesting Flying Eagle Cent variety.
