| This 1924 Latvia 1 Lats has been graded MS62 by PCGS and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. This is a beautiful coin that is struck from .835 pure silver. The obverse design is boldly struck and wonderfully detailed. The coin is bright white and has strong luster, particularly on the obverse which is nicer in appearance than the assigned grade suggests. The reverse of the coin is also bright white and lustrous, but also exhibits a good amount of light marks in the fields and on the devices which seemingly have limited the grade of the coin to MS62. That said, the coin has no other major issues of note and is a very nice example of the type. |
