This 1912 China Szechuan 50 Cash has been graded AU55 by PCGS and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. The coin is cataloged as Y-449.1a and is the Large Flower variety. According to the Krause reference, the obverse legend reads “Chung Hua Min Kuo (year) Nien.” The coin has light circulation wear and some of the original mint luster remains. This large brass coin features several significant die cracks on both sides that are quite interesting. There are some light scratches, minor discolorations and a few small spots of note, but nothing out of the ordinary or major given the assigned grade. The PCGS Price Guide lists the value of this coin at $191. An overall interesting example of the type. |
