Here is an 1835 $2.5 Classic Head Gold Quarter Eagle which has been graded VF30 by PCGS and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. The coin has moderate circulate wear on both sides. There are some light marks and faint hairlines present on each side that are consistent with the assigned grade. One slightly larger hit on Liberty’s cheek is the only issue of note, but again is typical of what you would expect at this grade. The coin has an even medium gold color with no spotting or significant discoloration. Overall, this coin is a nice moderately circulated example of the Classic Head Gold Quarter Eagle type.
