Here is a 1963 Canada Half Dollar which has been graded MS63 by NGC and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. The coin is deeply toned on the obverse with purple, pink and green colors. The reverse is much more lightly toned with a narrow band of rainbow color which rests near the rim. The luster of the coin’s slightly prooflike surfaces is very strong, and when combined with the toning, creates nice eye appeal. The coin shows several hits and marks on the obverse in particular, accounting for the relatively low mint state grade. A very interested toned Canadian Half Dollar. |
