Here is the 1933 Wolfville Western Days Dollar from Tuscon, Arizona which is listed as HK-689 in the Hibler-Kappen book on So-Called Dollars and has been certified with UNC Details by NGC and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. The piece does have a light cleaning as the label suggests, mostly noticed on the obverse which features the rider on the bucking horse. Despite the cleaning, this is an attractive medal. The piece has wonderful bright red and orange color near the rims and protected areas of the design with green and blue toning over much of the remaining surfaces. A neat looking example of this popular so-called dollar. |
