Here is a 1971 Israel Let My People Go 10 Lirot which has been graded MS65* by NGC and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. Israel issued this silver commemorative coin in support of freedom for Jews in the Soviet Union. The coin has semi-prooflike fields and wonderful rainbow color on the obverse side. The reverse side is mostly untoned. A few light marks are present on each side, but nothing overly distracting. The coin was difficult to capture accurately in a single image and diffused lighting was used to capture the obverse color. In hand, the color is more vibrant and not quite as dark. This piece is clearly worthy of the star designation given by NGC for coins with exceptional eye appeal. A beautifully toned example of the type.
Because of the difficulty in capturing the overall look of the coin in a single image, I have also included a short high-definition video of the coin towards the bottom of this listing in an attempt to give you a better idea of what this coin will look like in hand. Please note that you may need to adjust the video quality to 1080p and may need to increase the size of the video to full screen in order to see the coin in maximum detail. |
