The Missouri Centennial Commemorative Half Dollar has 24 stars on the reverse, indicating that Missouri was the 24th state admitted to the Union. The Missouri half is also the only commemorative half dollar, other than the Columbian Commemorative Half Dollar, to lack all three mottos; “In God We Trust,” “E Pluribus Unum” and “Liberty.” This 1921 Missouri Centennial Commemorative Half Dollar has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is encapsulated in an old green label holder which is approximately twenty years old. The coin has light to moderate toning on both sides that is a mostly golden color. The coin is well struck and has strong original mint luster. A near-gem example of the Missouri commemorative in an old PCGS holder with a very original look. |
