Here is a spectacular gem uncirculated version of what many collectors consider the most beautiful coin ever produced by the U.S. Mint. This 1914-S $20 Gold St. Gaudens Double Eagle has been graded MS65 by PCGS. The coin is a beautiful lustrous bright gold color with no significant marks, hits or discolorations of note. Just a few minor hits that are typical for the assigned grade. In lower mint state grades, this date is often priced as a common date double eagle. In MS65 condition, this is a slightly better date as the price jumps significantly at the next level in MS66. An overall excellent gem example of the date. |
