This 1899 Barber Dime has been graded MS66+ by PCGS and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. The coin was also professionally imaged by PCGS for their CoinFacts service. This is a beautiful high grade Barber Dime with attractive colorful toning on both sides. The dime has strong mint luster as well that helps to make the color even more eye appealing. Under a close inspection, just a couple of small marks can be found on the cheek and above the eye of Liberty, presumably keeping this impressive coin from grading higher. To date, only five (5) examples of this date have graded MS66+ at PCGS, with only four (4) coins grading higher; three (3) at MS67 and a single MS67+. A spectacular high-grade Barber Dime with lots of eye appeal. |
