Here is an 1880 Franz Joseph I Austria 2 Florin Shooting Medal which has been graded MS63 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of their newer-style edge-view holders. A TrueView photo was taken by PCGS which captures the beauty of this coin in the best light. This piece was issued to commemorate the first Austrian shooting competition in Vienna and has amazing and intricate details on both sides. This coin has extraordinary overall eye appeal with beautiful blue, red and orange toning and excellent luster. A few tiny marks can be found on a thorough inspection and there is a very small scratch near the rim at 4 o’clock which may have also limited the grade. An amazing overall example of this popular Shooting Thaler. |
