Over half a billion Washington Quarters were minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1964. Of that mintage, I would not expect too many to have better overall eye appeal than the present example. This 1964 Washington Quarter that has been graded MS66 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. A TrueView photo was taken by PCGS which captures the beauty of this coin in the best light. The coin has beautiful toning and strong luster on both sides. The reverse in particular is fully toned with spectacular rainbow color that is even more impressive in hand than the photos show. There are no major hits, marks or other issues of note. One of the most overall eye appealing high-grade Washington Quarters I have handled.
Because of the difficulty in capturing the overall look of the coin in a single image, I have also included a short high-definition video of the coin towards the bottom of this listing in an attempt to give you a better idea of what this coin will look like in hand. Please note that you may need to adjust the video quality to 1080p and may need to increase the size of the video to full screen in order to see the coin in maximum detail. |
