1938 New Rochelle Half Dollar w/ Original Tab Holder		SOLD

An interesting piece of trivia regarding the New Rochelle commemorative half dollar was that the coin was authorized by Congress in 1936, struck in 1937 and dated 1938. The example of the 1938 New Rochelle Half Dollar here is a mostly bright white and very lustrous piece that is certainly brilliant uncirculated. The coin does have some light marks in the fields that would prevent an ultra-high grade, but the coin has nice overall appeal. The coin also comes an original folder/booklet the coin was issued with in or about 1938. Inside of the folder are two tab holder spaces that could have originally held up to two examples of the coin; this listing includes a single example. The folder is quite fragile with the front cover nearly separated from years of wear. The half dollar has been removed from the folder and is now in an archival flip for protection. A very nice New Rochelle commemorative half dollar with the hard to find original folder of issue.
